There are now 7.3 billion people in the world and 7 billion mobile phones in use. I will get to this a bit further down. Please keep reading.
When I was a young child growing up in a Christian home and church, I always wondered how the Gospel could be proclaimed to all nations prior to Jesus’s return as Jesus declared.
"And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." — Jesus, Mathew 24:14
Church, Missionaries, Christian radio, and Christian television alone cannot do it. These were the only means available when I was growing up in a pre-Internet society.
Now with the Internet and mobile technology, millions of people are learning the Gospel of the Kingdom each day. Many are in nations where there is no freedom to worship God, read the Bible, or attend a church. They are receiving the Gospel through technology.
My wife, Becky, and I founded LovingGodFellowship.org (LGF) in 2005 for this cause. LGF is utilizing technology and social media to reach thousands of people per day in countries around this world with the Gospel of the Kingdom in their own language (translated into 103 languages). We are thankful for all those who partner with us, making this vital ministry possible.
Back to what I shared with you in the first sentence. In countries around the world, there are 7 billion mobile phones in use, connected to the Internet and social media. It was not like that when I was a child growing up in church, pondering how billions could be reached. I truly believe that this generation will be the generation that reaches the nations with the Gospel of the Kingdom. It is happening now through technology.
Every $1 donated enables us to reach 114 people around the world with the love of Jesus and the Gospel of the Kingdom—$25 reaches 2,850; $50 reaches 5,700; $100 reaches 11,400 people with the love of Jesus and the Gospel of the Kingdom. We operate the ministry debt free, relying solely on charitable contributions, given online or through U.S. mail, to sustain our worldwide ministry. LGF is not funded or endowed by any group or denomination.
My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have rescued. Psalm 71:23
"Thinking of all the Lord has rescued me from, despite my strong-headed stubbornness and spouts of selfish ambition especially when young, ushers joy into my praise. Joy replaces regrets, realizing God has been in control all along, molding and shaping this clay into a vessel for his presence. Rejoice, Beloved, rejoice. God has rescued you!" — Pastor Gregory A. Johnson, founder of LovingGodFellowship.org.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. — Philippians 2:3, NIV
"Jesus walked this earth considering others better than himself. Leaving the glory of heaven, being birthed into poverty, coming into our world, Jesus walked in humility. His point-of-need ministry and his self-sacrificing life is the pattern for all to follow." — Pastor Gregory A. Johnson, founder of LovingGodFellowship.org
I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word. Psalm 130:5
"You can trust that God will do what he declares in his word. Put your hope in his word and stand on the promises he has given you there. God's word and your faith in it will get you through all that comes your way. You can count on it!" — Pastor Gregory A. Johnson, found of LovingGodFellowship.org.
Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off. Proverbs 23:18 NRSV
"Beloved, hope wins over fear. Your hope is safe. No one can steal it from you. It is yours, so hope away, putting fear to flight. Your future is bright!" — Pastor Gregory A. Johnson, founder of LovingGodFellowship.org
In [God's] hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of every human being. Job 12:10 NRSV
"Every living thing is the result of God's work. He has created life all around us, giving us the task of stewardship, taking proper care of all life—plant, aquatic, animal, human. May we tend to his creation as he has commanded and be quick to confess and repent when we fall short." — Pastor Gregory A. Johnson, founder of LovingGodFellowship.org
Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind. 1 Peter 3:8 NRSV
"As Christ’s followers, we are to see others as he does. His compassion and mercy for ALL people are to be reflected through us. There is no tolerance for hate; it is evil. We love as Jesus loves. Love defeats hate." — Pastor Gregory A. Johnson, founder of LovingGodFellowship.org
"Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you." — Apostle Paul
"More in our day than ever, we must protect our mind. Control your thoughts by thinking about all that is good. As we think about good, we will do good. As we do good, God and his peace consume us and any thoughts that threaten peace are defeated—our mind is protected." — Pastor Gregory A. Johnson, founder of LovingGodFellowship.org
I lie down and sleep; I wake again, for the Lord sustains me.
"There is one reason why you made it through the night—the Lord sustains you. Your hope rests on it getting better for you, but the good news is that the Lord is here with you now, loving you, caring for you, healing you, and saving you." — Pastor Gregory A. Johnson, founder of LovingGodFellowship.org.
There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.
"Evil does not win. It never has, and it never will. It thrives in the fear that it breeds. Do not allow it place in your day or life. Stay focused on Jesus, following him. He assures your victory today and every day as you follow him." — Pastor Gregory A. Johnson, founder of LovingGodFellowship.org.
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me."
"Jesus is relevant to your day today. He gives direction, never steering you wrong. He speaks the truth while others deceive, saying what they think you want to hear. He gives life, both abundant and eternal. Follow Jesus today; he will lead you to the Father." — Pastor Gregory A. Johnson, founder of LovingGodFellowship.org.
But when he noticed the strong wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!" Jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?"
"Jesus, make us brave today in the midst of adversity and injustice. Give us the strength, your strength, to not cower to fear so that we can make a difference in the world today, making it a more just place to live until you come, I pray." — Pastor Gregory A. Johnson, founder of LovingGodFellowship.org #ThankYouJesus
But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children, to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments.
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet," and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work.
Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause.
So I recommend having fun, because there is nothing better for people in this world than to eat, drink, and enjoy life. That way they will experience some happiness along with all the hard work God gives them under the sun.
LovingGodFellowship.org is a worldwide interdenominational Christ-following fellowship made up of those who love God and people and is supported by loving Christ-followers around the world.
